I use herbal medicines and believe Medical Herbalists should be
statutorily regulated for the continuance of herbal medicine in this
country. To discontinue it will be potentially catastrophic to the health of so many people…

  6. Ayurveda4all (Diana) Says:

The debate for statutory regulation of all herbal and traditional medicine practitioners has been going on for TEN years. It is overdue and an essential move to ensure standards of excellence amongst practitioners and to ensure the long term future of medical herbalism.

Besides writing articles for the local press(see Local News next week 12th Nov) and writing to various MP’s and MSP including the Health Sec, I have been mailing all my contacts to encourage them to participate in all levels of the consultation pocess and to attend in Edinburgh. As a seasoned campaigner I intend to be there, so hopefully meet up with a few of you. Many hands etc…

Congratulations on all the hard work! Read the article in the Scotsman today! Have been contacting (by phone, email and website) patients, family and friends to tell them what’s going on and how to respond. Your superb work is much appreciated! Thanks!

I’m an herb enthusiast and I’ve used herbs as an alternative medicine. I’m not sure what’s going on in your area right now, but I totally support that using alternative medicines such as herbs should be regulated, but not eliminated. Hope everything goes well in the end.
